The basis for this design is of course the G3 field trousers, with many features and the basic shape carrying across. Though the waistband adjusters are taken directly from the G3 combat trousers. While there is reinforcement at the knees that looks like the G3 field knee pad pockets, there is no opening to insert an actual knee pad.
There are no ankle pockets as seen on the original Crye designs, but the velcro ankle cuffs are present and unchanged.
Fly zip is Crye G3 standard, with a smaller surface area of velcro top closure and then the addition of a button.
Main cargo pockets are a slightly different shape to the usual G3 style and are closed with 4-hole buttons as per US BDUs/DCUs. However a small coil zip has been added to the front of each pocket, usually intended to allow easy access while seated.
If I were to guess, I’d say Admin/Op means these pants are designed to both be worn on base (administrative) and during operational deployment. I have yet to see any other cut of trouser in this camo, and the lack of a combat style alternative plays in to said theory. I have no way to be 100% certain however.
