Tactical Tailor 762 Double Mag Pouch – 10 Round

A comparatively short lived offering from TT and not one that I can find any reference to elsewhere online, but I bought a pair back in 2022 and luckily I noted down what they were named at the time.

The much more common 20 round equivalent to these can be seen on many different gear retailer sites, but that variant has 5 PALS columns worth of rear attachment and uses the full size MALICE clips. This shorter version has just 3 PALS rows on the rear and uses the shorter matching MALICE.

Construction is very much standard for Tac Tailor in recent years. Mostly just common 500D cordura but with their characteristic black lining fabric. Angled cuts on the end of the flap and a narrow, half inch webbing pull tab. Use of standard military type shock/bungee cord going around the front allows for adjustable magazine retention by using the cordloc. This is preferable to sewn-in flat elastic in many people’s opinions as it can be harder wearing and is extremely easy to replace if the cord does break.

I like these pouches a lot for all the various shorter magazines that one may wish to use with a more precision oriented rifle that has a smaller capacity. These make for easy access for all sorts of slim and short magazines, such as 556 20 rounders (especially the metal ones), 10/22 mags, AICS pattern or even older mags such as those for the Lee-Enfield rifles and various other bolt-actions.

Shown in the header image and in the image directly above is an HK steel 556 20 rounder. These are on the upper limit of the capacity of this specific pouch, but they are retained perfectly securely. Pouch options for the many aforementioned mag types are not nearly as commonplace as compared to pouches for 762 20 rounders and of course 556 30s.
