Having a bit of a clear out, found these @firstspear Tubes from the very first batch of plate carriers ever sold commercially. FS weren’t happy with the plastic used so I cut these off in order to replace them with the upgrades they sent out to every customer. Since these were of no use I took just the female sections (weakest part of the buckle) and tried smashing them against concrete with a standard toolbox hammer.
One of this early batch did break apart after being stamped on and very deliberately smashed between steel and the concrete maybe a dozen times with a force that’s going to be somewhere along the lines of slamming it purposefully in a car door, these others just got scuffed up.
