It’s out of beta now because the great big British Tactical GP pouches are all mounted and they’re connected up directly to the yoke in true and proper webbing fashion. Quite happy with these overall. Gave them a quick try and even the large pouches at the back are fairly easy to buckle back up without looking or twisting.
I spent a good while deciding what I would actually like to carry in this and which pouches to get, so hopefully the main ones will prove to my liking and won’t ever get changed, however that would of course be a rare thing. The only small tweaks I currently have in mind are as follows:
-The hardware at the connecting points of all 6 yoke straps is currently a hodge-podge from my spare parts tub, so that obviously ‘needs’ bringing in to line
-I *might* see if I can hire someone to sew little 1″ loops of webbing near the male buckle portions of the GP pouches, so that when unclasped said buckles can’t dangle down on their straps (as mentioned they work fine but this would optimise closing them)
-Replace the very early ‘Helium Whisper’ smoke nade pouch with something more substantial, because it’s right in a spot where it can be dragged on the ground and the PALS backing of it is pathetic

If I were carrying admin items that could rattle then I’d consider a lattice of bungee around the GPs, but they’re just going to be used for water and clothing under the current plan so I’ll leave it for now to minimise any possible snagging.
This setup would of course be pretty sub-par to sit against inside a vehicle for a long time, but it is nice and slick at the front and permits a great prone position.
Thanks again to S.O. Tech Tactical for the belt, they do great ones if you want to build out any sort of belt-based gear.
