Was very fortunate to get a tour of C2R-Fast yesterday – 2nd time visiting actually, but 1st time at their new location. Let me just say from the off, it is one cool place to go! Far bigger than where they were before and with room to grow which I can already tell they’re in need of (nice problem to have). Perhaps the most relevant development in that area for the majority of you is the ever approaching launch of C2R USA which isn’t just an import shell company, the goods will be manufactured state side.

On this side of the pond however, the number of manufacturers for truly quality gear is vanishingly small, so for me to get to see the facility of one of the best known was a real treat. Above is their back panel for Virtus, which is just beautifully made frankly – all of their product is, but they kindly let me leave with this panel so I was able to thoroughly look over it back in my block room like the little kit gremlin I am and it doesn’t fail to impress.
I’m not 100% when they’ll be available, but the panels should be coming to Kit Pest fairly soon I’d wager, at least from what I saw in the cut and sew areas. KP is *the* source for C2R gear at the time of writing, so make sure they’re in your bookmarks if you are in the market.

I also have to say that a good portion of the reason I did the 4 hour round trip was in the hope of getting a Bean & Country brew, which is the coffee that turned me from basically never drinking coffee ever, in to someone who certainly will enjoy a good brew. The lattes they whip up in the hidden coffee bar at C2R somehow manage to almost taste like an artisan hot chocolate/coffee mix, but I sat and watched the whole process and besides the tiny sprinkle of chocolate on top, there wasn’t so much as a pinch of sugar added. I’m told there’s some secret sauce done by the roasters (who are also right there in Herefordshire) which I guess involves cocoa in some way, but I couldn’t tell you how exactly.
