Crye Gen 1(ish) Field Trousers – US 3 Col Desert

Another guest post from @closet_collector – again many thanks to him for letting me share these.

At a basic level, these are 98% identical to any other pair of Generation 1 Field Pants and I have an article covering those which you can view here. The camo pattern of course makes these an extremely rare example indeed.

This excessive amount of velcro for the thigh pockets was drastically changed with the G2 design.

The one departure that I can spot from the images when compared to common or standard G1s is that the knee pad pockets/knee reinforcement is made from the same rip-stop NY/CO as the rest of the garment, whereas most Gen 1s feature a heavier early cordura type fabric for the knees.

These probably saw some test usage at the least for someone to have penned on a blood type. It’s either that or someone who didn’t value what they had decided to larp too hard and wrote on the ankle pockets in permanent marker for no good reason.
