Very much needed for my Mexican Strandhögg.
Getting the rig itself was definitely a stroke of luck (thanks again to a good mate who knows who he is), but back around 2020 and earlier when I was looking for pouches, finding anything at all was another matter entirely. Some issued military kit does leak out of Mexico, but we’re talking comparatively quite small quantities due to government restrictions on surplus.
Fortunately I found a couple of one-man shops in the US who’d gotten hold of some small amounts of fabric from Mexico, so I ordered a basic placard then around 2021 or so I stumbled on a separate guy who made these 2 pouches for me.
Solid iterations of modern styles of double mag and a small GP, no need for anything fancy here. Similar to TT and Spiritus designs with a few tweaks and variances.
You can get the fabrics and various gear super easily on AliEx these days, and no doubt that will be where most of the Mexican Naval Infantry gear is actually sourced. I’d imagine the more elite units within said force were the ones who ordered US made kit from the likes of FirstSpear.
I wish I could link to the guy who made these because they’re well put together, alas I lost track of loads of accounts I followed when I got the big delete over on IG and it’s really hard to remember the odd handles that we all use on the app.
