LV-119 Setup

Old config of my LV-119 in wolf. Loaded vs ‘slick’. For a good while, up until maybe 4 years ago, I’d push the cummerbund pouches back, because (even more than 4 years ago) I used to make the classic mistake of not adjusting the carrier up to the proper height along with wearing certain older types of belts up quite high. That would mean my pistol/mags were pretty badly impeded.

This could still happen to a lot of folks of course. If you’ve got real setups for real work you’ll probably have side soft panels and plates and maybe need some pouches on the cummerbund that stick out a fair way, hence those slanted mag pouches for your belt and a slight drop-leg might be needed.

I personally do think it’s better to avoid impeding the legs if at all possible though. It might be necessary and maybe it’s not noticeable to some, but for me I notice the difference in freedom of movement a fair bit. Which also plays in to why I don’t like ankle pockets on a trouser design, or indeed many trouser pockets in general (some is good, but not too many).
